Gonad Man is an animation character, created by Mark Sutherland. The cartoon appeared in Waves Magazine from 1993 to 1999. It spawned T-shirts, two books, a couple of posters and, almost, a TV series. In 2001, Gonad Man featured heavily in Tubular Cels, an exhibition of surf art curated by Jan Begg, which toured nationally. Some original Gonad Man art was collected by the National Maritime Museum of Australia.
